Development i-Teams Final Presentation inc. Exploring potential global health applications of cell-free synthetic biology

A team of eight students and postdocs from across all five schools have been exploring potential global health applications of cell-free synthetic biology as part of the Development i-Teams programme - come and hear their conclusions!

Join the Centre for Global Equality and the Institute for Manufacturing to hear the final presentations of the Michaelmas Term Development i-Teams programme who have spent over a month exploring applications of emerging technologies in development.

Finger buffet from 6.30pm followed by presentations at 7pm.

This term's projects are:

  • Establishing sustainable community cloud infrastructures in the developing world;
  • Exploring potential global health applications of cell-free extracts for rapid, low-cost, paper-based diagnostics;
  • Farming and processing microalgae to address Vitamin B12 deficiency.
