In addition to major investment in capital equipment (including five state-of-the-art Mass Specs), we recruited a team of Senior Experimental Officers to deliver the SYNBIOCHEM technology platforms. As part of this team, SYNBIOCHEM now wishes to recruit a skilled dedicated [Senior] Research Data Manager (SRDM) with the expertise and experience to further guide the development and adoption of our leading edge data management systems that currently support the Centre’s multidisciplinary scientific discovery and implementation pipeline and multiple science programmes.  For this pivotal role we require someone with the necessary expertise and experience to capture requirements and liaise with users and specialists in the Centre to develop, support, guide and standardise the adoption and development of the Centre’s Data Catalogues, Laboratory Information Management Systems, Electronic Lab Notebooks and Sample Formation Tracking systems. For this exciting opportunity, a strong ethos for team-based working and the ability to communicate comfortably with both computational specialists and non-computational research scientists will be essential for success. Appointments will be made at SRDM grade 7 or considered at a Research Data Manager level (Grade 6) for candidates with the clear potential to reach the SRDM grade but without the body of experience required.

This post is available from 1 March 2017 for 24 months.
