Engineering Biology in Cambridge

The Biomaker initiative challenges interdisciplinary teams to (i) build low-cost sensors and instruments for biology or (ii) develop some biological resource or outreach project. Over three years, the initiative has funded over 60 projects and involved over 200 participants from a wide range of backgrounds. It is a great opportunity to learn new skills, collaborate with an interdisciplinary community and, in a short amount of time, develop tools and resources that are useful for real-world applications. Tools and resources developed during the Biomaker Challenge must be openly documented and made freely available. Whether you are a biologist, engineer, physical scientist, clinician, maker, or just curious and interested to participate, we’re keen to hear from you!
