About Kyomei The Kyomei team is driven by the potential of plants to contribute to global food security amidst the challenges of climate change. We are a fast-growing plant molecular farming startup, harnessing a totally new and patented approach to produce animal-identical molecules like proteins and pigments entirely within plants as food ingredients. We are seeking people driven by excellence, with a strong interest in using their passion for science and plants to create innovations with profound and real-world impact. You will be engaging with pioneering work, building out a new and inventive approach to produce animal-identical molecules and alter plant metabolic pathways in crop and vegetables. Qualifications: • R&D scientist: o PhD in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, or related discipline o Experience in exploring and developing synthetic biology tools. o Experience in working on non-model plants or crops. • Resarch assistant/technician: o MPhile in in Biotechnology, Biology or Genetics Lab or equivalent o Min. one year of accumulative or 6 months of continues hands-on experience in working in a wet Lab • Lab and grant manager o Min. one year of exeprience in Lab Management (eg H&S, procurement, equipment management, budget responsibilities) Desired characteristics: • A creative and positive mindset, with a desire to work in a self-motivated, innovation lead culture. • Strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrating progress and outcomes in a clear manner to effectively engage with a diverse group of stakeholders in a fast-paced tech company.
