The 3rd International IET/SynbiCITE Engineering Biology Conference 2017 will return this year from 12-13 December, at Savoy Place, London. This inspirational conference in the revolutionary field of engineering biology is enabled by the IET and the UK’s National Industrial Translation Centre for Synthetic Biology, SynbiCITE.
Engineering biology, using synthetic biology, is a young and interdisciplinary field of research in the life sciences. As the field progresses, it is clear engineering biology has applications not just in healthcare, but in sectors ranging from water filtration and waste management, to the defence industry, healthcare, robotics and automation. Rapidly, it is becoming apparent no industry can ignore this technology.
