Synthetic Biology in Cambridge

Small RNA molecules play a key role in genome defense and in the regulation of gene expression in eukaryotes. Their small size and predictable targeting rules make them perfect tools for regulation of human-designed gene circuits. My work at the University of Cambridge aims at harnessing the regulatory properties of these small RNA molecules and use them to confer robustness in synthetic gene circuits in plants.
